Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (Blu-ray)
September 6, 2010"Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" could have been a lot better movie, but it's entertaining enough and a decent popcorn flick to get you through the weekend.
Killers
September 6, 2010Who should see "Killers"? Fans of Ashton Kutcher and anyone that's looking for a light, mindless rental. Girls might like the romantic comedy and guys might like the action. But in reality I'd recommend just watching "True Lies" or "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" again.
MacGruber (Unrated) (Blu-ray)
September 6, 2010Who should buy "MacGruber"? Obviously fans of the SNL skit. Fans of lowbrow action comedies will also get a kick out of it. But I think the more you lower your expectations, the more you'll enjoy it.
The Office: Season Six (Blu-ray)
September 6, 2010The DVD's for this series have always had a ton of bonus features and this one is no different. There are so many deleted scenes that it's like having four or five bonus episodes included in the set. It's a real treat.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (The Unrated "Rich Mahogany" Edition) (Blu-ray)
September 6, 2010"Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy" makes its debut on Blu-ray, but there's a catch. It's a Best Buy exclusive. This "Rich Mahogany Edition" collects the theatrical edition of the film, the unrated edition of the film, and the follow-up "Wake Up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie" in one set. This has all been collected before on DVD, but this is the first time it has been on Blu-ray.
Flight of the Conchords: The Complete Collection
September 6, 2010As you wait for the new season of TV series to start up again, I highly recommend checking out "Flight of the Conchords". You may find it better than anything that airs on TV this season anyway. Unfortunately, there won't be a "Season Three" of this series. As an added bonus, this set includes their concert "One Night Stand" which is also a lot of fun.
Lost: The Complete Sixth and Final Season (Blu-ray)
September 6, 2010Whatever you thought of the conclusion, there's no denying it generated a lot of discussion and had you thinking about it long after the show ended. It was a compelling series and it's going to be a long time before there's another series that recreates the magic and intrigue of "Lost".
Batman: The Brave and the Bold - Season One, Part One
September 6, 2010If you're a Batman fan then this is a required addition to your DVD collection. If you're simply a fan of animation, you're going to want to check it out, too, for the amazing character design and voice work.
Cemetery Junction
September 6, 2010If you're looking for a feel-good comedy with a little raunchiness, then "Cemetery Junction" is a film you're going to want to check out.
James and the Giant Peach (Special Edition) (Blu-ray)
September 6, 2010I'd only recommend "James and the Giant Peach" to major Tim Burton fans, fans of stop-motion animation, fans of Roald Dahl, and Disney collectors. If you don't fall in any of these categories, then you should probably pass on this Blu-ray.
